An Art Deco era filigree shield ring, modeled in platinum, whose primary gem is a faceted, oval aquamarine. This icy aqua is held in a low-profile bezel, at the center of the ring face, where it is flanked by a pair of early old mine cut diamonds. Surrounding this trio of gems, an intricate, finely-executed, openwork design of knife-wire, curls, and paisleys. A pair of accent diamonds are posted at the ring's north and southmost points. This ring has a slender, tapering shank, with engraved floral details that extend from its shoulders. Its short gallery is decorated with tiny, circular spacers. This ring is entirely hand-pierced and almost impossibly crisp— the original, sparkling, milgrain details are all intact! We love it for this reason, for its refined, icy quality, its low profile and lovely proportions. This would make a unique engagement ring.
