A very cool, extra-large, mid 20th century pendant, modeled in 14k yellow gold, whose subject is the water bearer, an image that represents the astrological sign Aquarius (January 20 - February 18). Our female water bearer has wavy, shoulder-length hair. Here, she kneels, in profile, surrounded by four stars and a crescent moon, pouring water from a vessel. Her shapely vessel is open on both ends, to symbolize flowing energy— a stream of water flows out from the pouring end, and a ribboning form unfurls from the other. This high-relief astrological scene is applied to the pendant's beautifully-hammered base, and it is hemmed-in by a heavy gold border. This voluptuous (read weighty!) old swinger is probably one-of-a-kind. It hangs from a large jump ring. We especially love the pendant's hammered texture, its rich, high color, and the contrast it provides for the high-polished figural elements. Marked 14k for purity. This is a layering hero— wear it on your longest chain!
