A Victorian era cluster ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose round face is set with eight rose cut diamonds that vary in size and shape (approx 1.2 ctw). These antique diamonds are bead-set into the ring's crown-like head, where they are fitted closely together, like cobblestones. The largest two sit to the north and south— they are vibrant and white, with scattered inclusions that are visible under magnification. The primary supporters sit to the east and west, while four smaller "satellite" diamonds fill the inter-cardinal spaces. This low-profile ring is styled with slender split shoulders that are decorated with dainty, trefoil-like curls. Its half round shank is slender and it tapers toward the base. We love this ring for the way its diamonds seem to cover the ring face like drops of water— their irregular shapes and precise close-setting intensify this naturalistic, rustic but refined quality. This would make a beautiful, unusual engagement ring!
This ring appears to have an all-diamond face, in person— very little metal is visible on the ring face.
