Victorian Miniature Pansy Earrings
with Rose Cut Diamonds in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A darling pair of Victorian-era dormeuse (sleeper) earrings, modeled as miniature pansies, in 14k yellow gold. These little flowers are quite realistic, with lobed petals that bend softly, both inward and outward. The all-over, finely-stippled texture, applied to our flowers' petals, adds sparkling visual interest, while creating depth and subtle variation in color. These delicate earrings are fitted with French hooks, and a small, curly c-catch. Each is set with a small rose cut diamond. Pansy signifies the sentiment "think of me" in the Victorian language of flowers, its common name coming from the French word for "thought," pensée. Impossibly sweet and ephemeral, these dainty earrings are perfect for thoughtful daily wear.
