Saundra Messinger Wide Band Organic Ring

A buttery, 18k gold ring, hand made by the New York designer Saundra Messinger. This weighty, extra-wide band has a subtle, compelling, organic texture; its top and bottom edges are slightly wavy, giving the impression of something natural or primitively forged. This is the widest band a person could possibly wear— it covers the entire space between the first and second knuckle of the hand. The hand-textured, irregular matte finish gives it a rich, glowing quality. This designer usually works in sterling silver— gold examples must be custom ordered and are rarely offered for sale. This Saundra Messinger design is called "The Band," probably because no other band can exceed it's grand proportions!
