An unusual mid twentieth century ring, modeled in platinum, whose primary gems are a high-dome blue flash moonstone cabochon, and a pair of old cut, triangle-shaped diamonds. This white moonstone displays beautiful adularescence, with a strong blue flash— it is held in four claw-like prongs, where it is flanked by the triangle diamonds, which are mounted in v-shaped tabs. The moonstone is also crowned (above and below) by a series of four, sparkling round brilliant cut diamonds— these diamonds are mounted in four-prong baskets, and they appear to hover around the glowing moonstone. This ring is styled with a half-round, knife-edge shank. It has an airy undergallery, and the shank tapers toward its base. We love this ring for its icy, celestial flavor! The antique, triangle diamonds are especially beautiful, and a rarity, with their large facets and open, triangular culets.
