Georgian OMC Diamond & Burma Ruby Flower Ring
with Silver Top in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A soulful, Georgian-era, flower-form ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold with a silver top. This ring’s eight, oval, collet-set, old mine cut diamonds are arranged around its vibrant, untreated, central ruby. The shoulders of the ring are decorated with voluptuous, swirling repoussé work, that is typical of the period. This ring has a closed back, and its weighty, half-round shank tapers toward the base. These chunky old diamonds are especially charming— they have the small high tables and open culets that make OMC our favorite cut. The Burmese ruby is a lovely, deep, pink-red color.

Notes
Condition is wonderful and this ring is even lovelier in hand. There is a small, old and insignificant indentation on the closed back of the ring head, near the seam— it looks like it has always been there.
