A heavy bezel surmounts these glowing, mother-of-pearl-backed intaglios, and eight cultured pearls are stationed around each bezel's outer edge, giving the impression of a ship's wheel. These earrings have the either/or omega-style backs this designer is known for— the pierced posts fold down, so the earrings can also be worn as clip-ons, for non-pierced ears. Omega and clip-style earring backs stabilize large earrings, making them very easy to wear. These are marked 18k for gold purity, and with Elizabeth Locke's maker's mark.
