Edwardian Love Knot Ring with OMC Diamonds
in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A wonderful Edwardian-era love knot ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose large, central, knot motif is overlayed by a trio of diamond-shaped panels. These three east/west oriented panels lay like a belt over the knot-face— each is embellished with a hand-engraved star that is set with a small, old mine cut diamond. The love knot is a traditional symbol of fidelity, representing two people, bound together, so this would make a lovely wedding or commitment ring. Being substantial and weighty, it is well-suited to all genders. This ring bears a full set of English hallmarks, including a mark for Birmingham, and for the year 1912.
