Victorian Cigar Band Ring with Diamond Star
in 18k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A bold, Victorian-era, cigar band ring, whose face is set with a single, sparkling, old mine cut diamond. This band is substantial, with a broad, flat profile. Its antique diamond (I/J, SI1) rests in a beautiful, hand-cut, star-shaped seat. The rays of this star are long, deeply-graved, and they terminate in fine, thready, points— we love how they seem to emanate from the chunky OMC diamond at the star's center! This ring has an enviable, buttery, time-won finish. It bears a full series of English hallmarks, including an 18 for gold purity, a mark for Birmingham, and for the year 1867. This ring is very comfortable— it would make a wonderful wedding band!
