Dainty Victorian Era Weight of Flowers Charm in 10k Gold
Poor Mouchette
* * SOLD * *
A sweet, miniature, Victorian era fob, modeled in yellow, rose, and green 10k gold. This weight-shaped charm is decorated with masterfully hand-sawed leaves and flowers. The tiny plant forms were applied, piece by piece, to the surface of the charm— they bend gracefully, and have a somewhat fantastical appearance, with their circular, nodding blooms and arrow-shaped seed heads. The leaves and the flower heads are made in green gold; the stems and the seed heads are made in rose gold. These sit above the charm's yellow gold field. A belt-like strap of rose gold divides the charm into hemispheres, and anchors the bail. This fob is diminutive. Its form reminds us of a fishing weight, or a parcel. It has wonderful dimensional qualities and depth! It would be lovely alone on a slender chain, or paired with other meaningful pieces.
