Dainty Victorian Era Canatille Orb Earrings in 18k Gold
Poor Mouchette
* * SOLD * *
A sweet pair of antique, Etruscan revival, dormeuse earrings, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose dainty, orb (or lantern) shaped drops are made up of miniature, spiraling, wire work medallions. These coiled forms connect only where their edges touch, leaving fetching, open spaces between them. Each is finished with a bead of granulation at its center, and our orbs are "capped" on, either end, by a small gold dome. These little earrings thread back to front. The ear-wires are hinged. We think these old darlings are a marvel, and their small size makes them ideal for frequent wear! It is always special to find such tiny objects still paired and in crisp condition. Marked 18 for purity.
