Art Nouveau Enamel Pansy Necklace
with River Pearls in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A beautiful, Art Nouveau era festoon necklace, modeled in rosy 14k yellow gold, whose focal point is a cheerful pansy blossom, decorated with iridescent, multi-color enamel. This sweet, pastel pansy rests inside a shapely Art Nouveau frame. White seed pearls decorate the frame, while a trio of natural river pearls dangle below it; further small pearls decorate the necklace’s chain, anchoring its festoon sections. This necklace has a gentle, serene quality— we love that soft presence, the unique, baroque texture of the pearls, and the "think of me" symbolism the pansy motif imparts! Condition is excellent. Closure is an old spring ring clasp. This is marked 14k for purity, and with a faint, hand-scribed design number. This would make a lovely gift for a bride, or for any flower-loving creature!
