A bold, vintage 1960s ring, modeled in 18k rose gold & 18k yellow gold, whose central element— a pair of beautiful, fleshy, finely-textured blossoms— recalls the floral jewelry of the Victorian era. These vibrant, yellow-gold flowers have lacy, irregular petals, and wonderful dimensionality— the larger blossom is set with a luminous white pearl, while its smaller partner's center is a bead of rose gold granulation. They sit atop the ring's angled, asymmetrical face, flowing over the edges of a twisted rope border. On one side, the ring's shoulder is broad and softly domed; this side features a hand-pierced openwork design that resembles a flower trellis. The ring's other shoulder is narrower, with a split border that hems-in a pillowy, suede-like, finely-stippled swath of rose gold. The ring's shoulders and shank are rose gold. The half-round shank is substantial, and it tapers toward the base. This ring is interesting because, while it is a study of contrasting textures and form, it remains romantic and feminine. This bears a series of Swiss hallmarks. It is extremely well-executed!
