* * SOLD * *
A beautiful, antique, Tiffany & Co. ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose primary gem is a natural, untreated, .93 carat sugarloaf ruby cabochon (AGL certified) encircled by a halo of ten chunky, old European cut diamonds. This oval, 'pigeon's blood' ruby cabochon is transparent and deeply-saturated— it is vibrant red with a very slight pink inflection. The ruby is held in ten, tapering prongs, and the .70 ctw diamond surround is prong-set into the ring's pierced, crown-like head. The ring's slender, half-round shank tapers toward the base. This ring is marked for the beloved jewelry house Tiffany & Co. It is still paired with its original, branded blue box. Untreated natural rubies are scarce— this one has a glowing quality and exceptional color! This antique Tiffany ring is a rarity— it would make an outstanding engagement ring.
