1970s Lapis & Diamond Shooting Hearts Ring
in 14k Gold
* * SOLD * *
A very cool 1970s bypass ring, modeled in 14k yellow gold, whose primary elements are a pair of lapis lazuli hearts, crossing paths like comets or shooting stars. These azure hearts are polished, slab-style cabochons, and each is lightly flecked with golden pyrite inclusions. They are fixed inside textured, heart-shaped bezels, and these bezels are set atop the ring's deeply-ribbed, anticlastic shank. Three white diamonds float between our blue hearts, in four prong mounts. We love this ring for its graphic quality, which is combined here with bold, naturalistic textures! It gets extra points for metaphor— two hearts flying, synchronously, in the sky (our read), or passing, never to be joined. This is very flattering in wear.
