An elegant 1940s engagement ring, modeled in 18k white gold, whose single gem is a vibrant 1.3 carat transitional cut diamond (H, SI1). This wonderful antique diamond sits in a crown-like basket, where it is held in place by eight prongs. The ring's shank is pinched at the shoulders, creating a lovely, delicate-looking "floating diamond" illusion. The ring's gallery is pierced, and tiny circular spacers nest inside its cathedral shoulders. Its half-round shank is slender, and it widens slightly toward the base. We love this old darling for its clean, elegant lines, and big, sparkling presence!
