A soulful Georgian-era ring, modeled in 14k gold and silver, whose primary gem is a natural, foiled, emerald cut emerald (approx 1 carat). This vibrant old gem is held in a cut-down collet, where it is flanked by a pair of flinty, rose cut diamonds. The rose cut diamonds nest in silver, figural seats that read like plumes, or trailing folate forms. This ring has a closed back that is beautifully engraved with shell-like details. Its gallery features small, three-dimensional curls that seems to support the bulbous, shell-like collet. The ring's slender shank is decorated with notches, and subtle hourglass elements— it tapers toward the base. This ring is a rarity, and it is in wonderful condition! The facets of the emerald are still very crisp. We have left the ring's natural patina intact.
