These colors are absolutely electric, and the fire has an almost metallic, foil-like flash, in many places! The opal is held in a milgrained yellow gold bezel. It is surrounded by a wide, double-border of platinum-set, old European cut diamonds— the inner border is styled as a series of circle and wedge shapes, while the outer border is a laurel wreath. Even the smallest diamonds are full-cut. This brooch is a rarity! It is beautifully made and would be a treasure in any serious collection. This is fitted with a brooch closure (a c-clasp with a locking foot), and a small, original, flip-down bail. Marked Tiffany & Co., on a small rectangular badge.
