An early 20th century three stone ring, modeled in platinum, whose primary gems are a pair of old European cut diamonds (1.7 carats, together) and a luminous, natural sea pearl. These antique diamonds are held in low-profile, tab-style prongs, where they flank the ring's silvery button pearl. Framing these gems, a wave-like series of diamond-set forms that seem to "splash up" from the ring's gallery and shoulders. This filigree ring is further decorated with tiny, diamond-set fleur de lis, graceful, hand-pierced, fret-work and spirals, and a hand-engraved wheat motif. The ring's half round shank is slender, and it tapers toward the base. We love the cool, elegant character of this ring— its finely-executed decor reads as textural and icy from a distance, revealing its secrets fully, only upon close inspection!
Natural pearls are naturally occurring, e.g. not cultured. Natural sea pearls are scarce and highly-prized. This ring ships with a GIA report, identifying its pearl as natural, and noting the pearl's species origin.
