1940s Red Banded Agate Scarab Earrings
in 14k Gold

A lovely pair of vintage dangling earrings, modeled in 14k yellow gold and set with banded agate cabochons. These oval cabochons have traditional carved details that transform them into scarab beetle amulets. Our agate scarabs are transparent and beautifully figured with red, orange, and black horizontal bands— they are held securely in deep, smooth, footed bezels. They hang from kidney-shaped earwires, and each earwire is embellished with a puffy gold disc. We love the autumn color palate, here, the simple lines of the settings and the way they compliment the agates' complex figuring! Scarabs are a long standing symbol of transformation and rebirth. These earrings are a nice size for everyday wear.
