A striking three-stone ring, featuring an elongated, oval, Australian opal, modeled in 18k yellow gold and platinum, by your friends at Poor Mouchette. This spectacular, fiery opal is held in eight claw-like prongs— it displays a full spectrum of colors, from icy blues and greens, to highly desirable red and orange hues, to yellow and magenta. The opal's body color is blue-white, and it is electric from every angle! Flanking the opal, a pair of antique, old European cut diamonds (1.04 ctw, G/H, VS) rest in platinum bezels. These hand-cut diamonds are bright and chunky, with small tables, steep crown facets, and open culets. The ring's shank has a knife-edge which gives it a slender look. This is a clean, contemporary take on a classic form! Metals are matte finished.
This was designed by Poor Mouchette and handcrafted in Portland, OR, by collaborating, independent craftspeople— even the antique diamonds were sourced locally.
