A very special Victorian-era bracelet, modeled in 14k gold with a silver top, featuring a pair of snakes (each coiled into an infinity shape) that guard a central, round, turquoise cabochon. This blue-green gem is mounted in a gold bezel, where it is haloed by a bevy of glinting rose cut diamonds— the diamonds are held in silver, cut-down collet settings. Our eternally devoted snake friends are likewise encrusted, edge-to-edge, with rose cut diamonds, in cut-down collets. A chunky, eye-shaped element trails behind each snake, holding a bead-set, old mine cut diamond and two small rose cuts. All elements of this bracelet are moveable— the snakes are made to pivot on the beautifully-made hinges that connect them to the central bezel, and their tails thread through ports in the eye-shaped seats that trail behind them. This bracelet’s "body" is composed of a double-link chain; it closes with a tube clasp. Diamond CTW is approx 1.27 carats. This is a rare old bracelet that would grace any collection.

Bracelet length is approx 7"; central element (round) measures approx 14.3 mm; snakes measure approx 22.35 x 10 mm; rose cut diamonds range from 1.2 - 2.7 mm; old mine cut diamonds measure approx 3.2 mm; mine cuts weigh approx .36 carats, together; diamond CTW is approx 1.27 carats.

Notes

The rose cut diamonds, here, are of good quality, with pretty facets— they are not the crude, rough rose cuts you sometimes see in later period jewelry and in newer reproductions. The rose cuts in the snake's heads are small oval/pear shapes.

This bracelet can be lengthened. If you need a little more length, please get in touch.
