An Art Nouveau era figural locket, modeled in 10k yellow gold, whose decor features an owl with up-stretched wings. This owl motif creates a border around the locket's subtly-domed center. The owl's face sits at the bottom-center of this border, while his feathery wing's ripple out around the locket face, becoming curvaceous, ribbon-like forms that are iconically Art Nouveau. This locket retains its lovely original patina, and its high color bloomed finish. It is complete with two photo rings, and it closes with a satisfying snap. The locket's reverse is engraved with the monogram MWS, in curling ribbon script— there are the expected surface-level scratches and nicks present on the reverse, but no dents or dings. This locket hangs from an oval jump ring. It is marked 10k for purity.
