A striking Victorian-era halo ring, modeled in 18k yellow gold, whose primary gem is a fancy-brown old mine cut diamond (.69 carats). This antique diamond is a rich, neutral, golden-brown color that might be described as whiskey, or cognac. It is chunky, with a small, irregular table and steep crown facets. The feather that bisects the diamond's table (internal) sometimes catches light and creates a rainbow. Surrounding this primary diamond, eleven, white, old mine cut diamonds are prong-set into the ring's crown-like head. This ring has cathedral shoulders and a sweet, scalloped open-work gallery. It's shank widens subtly toward the base. We love this classic form, and especially the color of the ring's unusual OMC diamond it looks wonderful worn alongside both yellow and white metal pieces.
