These prongs blend into the shoulders of the ring's substantial, half-round shank, so there is no visual disruption to the lovely form of this long, softly-pointed marquise. This diamond dates to the late 1800s— it's pattern of large, slightly irregular facets reflects light differently than contemporary marquise cuts; its points are softer, and it has an open, needle-like culet. The ring's setting is modeled in 950 irid platinum. It is finished with a mirror polish. We love the icy, almost mystical quality of this minimalist engagement ring
